Liz Law for Men Featured in TV Fashion Show

Aug 05

I had a line of jewelry for men that was in a fall fashion show on TV in September ‘06. In the live segment on KTLA, all the men of the show were accessorized in Liz Law originals. I quickly sold all of these pieces as well as other men’s jewelry that I would create for customers on a custom basis. I decided at the time to not expand my men’s line, but rather focus on the women’s items that seemed less limiting and more of a natural creation for me. However, the time has come where I have decided it’s time to bring back Liz Law for Men. I have gotten way too many requests for men’s jewelry to continue with this gender discrimination. I’m really excited about the challenge of creating jewelry defined mainly by masculinity and simplicity. It’s on it’s way- so look out. Danielle Demski wears Liz Law on KTLA

Aug 05

The gorgeous Danielle Demski wore the “Forgiven” Lariat on KTLA news in September of ‘06. I loved this lariat made from thick 14k gold filled chain, wood, shell, and crystal, but unfortunately I ran out of stock and was unable to replicate it. Since all my pieces are handmade by interesting and often vintage charms and beads that I collect- many of them are one-of-a-kind, the vast majority being limited edition. So if you see something you like, you better snatch it up before it’s gone! :) Alas- “Forgiven” joins the ranks of the extremely rare and special pieces that I no longer carry but are hopefully worn and loved by those who bought them. Volk Trunk Show

Aug 03

I had a big trunk show at a local Manhattan Beach boutique, Volk, in Sept. of ’06. It was Eastern themed, complete with sake punch, fun Asian decorations, and amazing (albeit Western) DJs. It brought great satisfaction to plan and execute this event. Click here to see event pics: Trunk Show Pics

Beginnings

Jul 14

The brand new owner of a European History degree from a small liberal arts college in Virginia in the late spring of ’04, I had no post-college plans and was feeling a little unsettled. I had always loved creative endeavors, so I decided to make myself useful by experimenting with jewelry design. I quickly fell in love with the process of putting together different shapes and colors in unique but meaningful ways.

Two weeks later, my new hobby and I were off to Los Angeles in search of new experiences and a fresh perspective. My love of jewelry making as well as my bead collection expanded rapidly in my new city. Unemployed and with very few friends, jewelry design was not only a creative outlet but also a huge source of purpose for me. I could not stop myself from spending what little money I had on beads, chain, and wire. From purchasing supplies to creating something totally unique that had never been done before, it was all a huge rush to me.

Selling my wares came about as an afterthought, but people started noticing my jewels and purchasing them off me. I started selling my pieces at trunk shows and various events and loved connecting with the people that feel connected enough to my art to buy it and wear it on their bodies.

Liz Law jewelry has grown and continues to grow organically and healthily. Every item is handmade with careful precision and care, ensuring a high level of craftmanship as well as exclusivity. Thank you for visiting my site and reading my blog. I hope you enjoy viewing my pieces as much as I enjoyed making them.
